Our management team is looking for a proactive Floor Supervisor to take charge of our front‑of‑house operations, guiding our service team and ensuring every shift runs smoothly at The Osborne Rooftop & Bar..

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations, including opening and closing procedures, coordinating staff schedules and ensuring the bar and floor are stocked and ready for service.
  • Train, support and supervise bartenders and front‑of‑house team members, ensuring everyone delivers consistent, high‑quality service.
  • Provide a warm welcome to guests, address any issues or concerns promptly, and ensure staff remain attentive and responsive to customer needs.
  • Support marketing initiatives by suggesting drink specials, assisting with event execution and promoting the venue on social media in line with company guidelines.
  • Assist with monitoring sales and tracking expenses, bringing any discrepancies or opportunities to the attention of management.
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations, including ID checks and safe serving practices.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and inviting environment by enforcing health and safety protocols and ensuring regular cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Floor Supervisor or senior front‑of‑house professional, with a history of leading teams and maintaining high service standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with staff, guests and suppliers and to create a welcoming environment.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage a busy section, prioritise tasks and keep service flowing smoothly.
  • Solid understanding of beverage service, including knowledge of cocktails and wines, and a willingness to expand your knowledge of seasonal menus.
  • Awareness of workplace health and safety requirements and the ability to uphold company policies.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.
