Award winning Zonzo Estate Winery, located in the heart of Yarra Glen, currently has opportunities for full-time Sous Chef to join its expanding team. This unique venue has a relaxed yet professional approach to its food, with a strong focus on antipasto, pizze, and share plates.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will be hands-on in service, oversee kitchen operations, and you'll work closely with the Head Chef on menu development, ensure consistency in every dish, and help maintain a kitchen culture that is professional, supportive, and ambitious.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise prep and service, ensuring quality and presentation meet standards.
- Assist in developing menus.
- Manage ordering, stock rotation, and minimise waste.
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and OH&S requirements.
- Train and mentor team members
About You
- Experience as a Sous Chef, or strong CDP/Junior Sous ready to step up.
- Passionate about Italian cuisine and produce
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Organised, reliable, and able to thrive under pressure.
- Creative mindset with respect for authentic Italian flavours.
