Role Description

The Warehouse Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. The role will assist in day-to-day warehouse operations, including, but not limited to: picking & packing orders, managing inventory accuracy at HQ as well as retail locations, and ensuring smooth inventory control. The role also involves operating pallet jacks, coordinating shipments, and providing top-notch customer service. The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse Coordinator in overseeing the team and maintaining a well-organised, safe and efficient warehouse environment.

This role enables all warehouse staff to deliver their core responsibilities of picking, packing, and sending and achieve Warehouse standards and KPIs.

One must-have requirement of the role is 1+ years of experience with the Descartes Peoplevox WMS.

Main Responsibilities

Warehouse Administration:

  • Warehouse Admin as prescribed by the Warehouse Coordinator, including, but not limited to:
  • Set up and provide pick lists (printing, distributing to warehouse staff).
  • Print, distribute, and allocate POs, pick lists, and transfer lists provided (UK, France, Retail Stores)
  • Oversee and clear the backlog and 'not dispatched' orders daily, ensuring the Budgy Smuggler warehouse is achieving its delivery KPIs.
  • Oversee and resolve any out-of-stock (OOS) issues by dealing directly with customers to resolve them efficiently.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Picking, packing, and wrapping customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparing and shipping orders using an online shipping platform.
  • Printing and attaching labels for dispatch.

Stock Management:

  • Receiving and put-away of incoming stock.
  • Assisting with stock checks and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Warehouse Operations:
  • Entry of data into the computer system to manage stock and orders.
  • General warehouse cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organised environment.
  • Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Performing other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Coordinator or Management.

Warehouse KPIs:

  • Daily Warehouse Floor Clean Up / Tidy.
  • Orders received before 1pm each day are picked, packed and sent same day.
  • Custom, Store, Pop-Up, Wholesale and UK/EU Company orders are processed as scheduled without impacting Online Orders.
