Glenorchy City Council
is seeking an experienced and proactive Leader to join our team in a newly created role as a
Coordinator
Human Resources.
This key leadership role provides strategic and operational support across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will supervise and develop a team which comprises of a Human Resources Business Partner, HR Support Officer and Learning & Organisational Development Advisor.
In this strategic role, you will collaborate with leaders and staff across the organisation to provide expert advice and guidance on a broad range of HR functions, including workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development. Your ability to implement best-practice people strategies, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and drive continuous improvement will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Human Resources Team.
- Provide expert support to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
- Oversight of the Enterprise Agreement, assisting the Manager People & Culture with reviews and updates.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to foster a sustainable, high-performing workforce.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects that enhance employee engagement and wellbeing, contributing to a positive organisational culture.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience in a similar HR position, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Your expertise will help shape Glenorchy City Council as an employer of choice, supporting the organisation in achieving its goal of being a high-performing and inclusive workplace.
