DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. Overseeing the scheduling and coordination of all flights and Serving as a main point of contact between different departments within the company.
  • Monitor and make sure that the Operations controllers, Schedulers and Crew dispatchers are performing their designated duties on the day.
  • Ensure effective management of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, by involving key stakeholders and ensuring that all on-duty staff are diligently performing their designated tasks.
  • Should be prepared to handle emergencies or unexpected situations that may arise during flights. They should have a well-defined emergency response plan and the ability to coordinate with relevant authorities if needed.
  • Handle last-minute changes or requests, ensuring all flights are conducted in compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and aviation regulations. The Duty Manager must stay up-to-date with any changes in regulations and work with the flight operations team to ensure that all flights are conducted safely.
  • Oversee the selection and scheduling of flight crews, including pilots and cabin attendants. The Duty Manager ensures that crew members are qualified, well-rested, and prepared for their assigned flights.
  • Will be the primary escalation point of contact for Owner and Client services, that Operations controllers or GTP cannot answer. They will provide exceptional support and resolve any complex or sensitive issues that may arise. Ensuring compliance with fractional ownership program regulations and agreements between the company and fractional owners.
  • Coordinate with aircraft maintenance to ensure that all aircraft are well-maintained, airworthy, and available for scheduled flights. The Duty Manager must work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and delays.
  • Assist in managing operational costs and optimizing resource allocation. This includes monitoring expenses related to crew, maintenance, and other operational aspects.
  • Maintain accurate records of flight operations, incidents, and customer interactions. The Duty Manager may be responsible for preparing reports on operational performance and customer feedback.
  • Will be responsible for Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Assisting in the training and development of new employees to maintain high standards of service and safety.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience within an aviation environment preferably Business Aviation in a Supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of fractional operations; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
  • Have a strong understanding and of International Operations, worldwide flight planning incl. ETOPS.
  • Scheduling experience or experience is a plus
  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Confidence to be able to optimize the flying schedule / identify sell off's with their own logical solutions, without consultation from Senior Leadership Team.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently or within a team.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required. Further languages skills of advantage.
  • Successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism while multi-tasking various real time issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be very strong in decision making.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills.
  • Have a high level of professionalism and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership.
  • Ability and willingness to work early & late shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
