GTES (Group Training & Employment Services) is a community-owned not-for-profit that supports local businesses and job seekers through apprenticeships, traineeships, and labour hire across the Riverina.

We're seeking a hands-on
HR & Payroll Officer
to join our small, dedicated office team.

This role has become available due to an internal promotion and is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, varied environment.

About the role

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day HR, payroll, and office operations, including:

  • Processing payroll for over 100 external employees
  • Supporting invoicing, accounts, and general finance duties
  • Managing compliance, WHS, and injury claims
  • Preparing quotes for labour hire and group training placements
  • Providing general administrative and executive support to the team
  • Assisting with process improvement and system efficiency

You'll work closely with our General Manager and office team, with the support of a trainee who assists with recruitment and enquiries.

  • HR, payroll, or finance experience (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence learning new systems and interpreting awards
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication
