Are you passionate about information governance, digital records management and building organisational capability? We're seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Information Governance Specialist to join our Information Governance team and play a key role in shaping how Council manages information now and into the future.

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for information governance, ensuring compliance, accountability and continuous improvement in the way we capture, store, use and protect information.

The role:

  • Administer and support Council's Information Management systems, providing expert advice and assistance to users across the organisation
  • Lead the development and improvement of information governance policies, procedures, standards and training to uplift information maturity
  • Manage and deliver key Information Governance projects, including system enhancements, compliance initiatives, process improvements and change management activities
  • Promote best practice in records and information management to support good decision-making, customer service and organisational transparency

About you:

You are someone who thrives on solving complex information challenges and empowering others to work smarter.  You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Information or Records Management within a corporate or government environment
  • Strong knowledge of information governance frameworks, standards and legislation
  • Experience managing system administration and supporting end users
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
