About the opportunity:

Are you passionate about information governance and ready to make a meaningful impact across a specialised organisation? ANZCA is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Information Governance Specialist to lead the uplift and implementation of our information and records management framework.

As part of the Knowledge Resources team, and working closely with Technology and Security, you will play a key role in shaping how information governance is delivered and sustained across ANZCA.

This role bridges information, data and records management, IT systems, privacy, risk, and compliance. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager – Knowledge Resources and will commence in January 2026.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and improving the information governance framework.
  • Managing records and archives across their lifecycle.
  • Advising on best practice for business records and systems.
  • Educating staff and stakeholders on governance practices.
  • Supporting strategic and operational initiatives.

You will specifically bring;

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Records Management, Information Management, Knowledge Management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in information and data governance, and records management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing an EDRMS solution, preferably SharePoint and/or MS365.
  • Experience managing physical records and/or knowledge of archiving principles.
  • Sound understanding of records management, privacy, and cybersecurity legislation.
  • Sound planning and organisational skills, initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write policies, procedures, user guides and deliver online and face-to-face training.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using modern IT systems and tools.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Inmagic DBTextworks database.
  • Experience in digital transformation and change management initiatives.
  • Understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
