Are you passionate about data governance and ready to make a national impact?

The Bureau of Meteorology is moving into a new phase of data management and is seeking a skilled and experienced data governance professional to help manage and protect some of Australia's most critical and enduring data assets—spanning back to the 1800s.

This role will assist the organisation to unlock the value of our vast environmental datasets by making them more accessible, discoverable and trusted.

While the successful candidate for this position will bring a strong focus on compliance and stakeholder engagement, we are also establishing a merit pool to support future recruitment into our Data Governance team. This pool may be used to fill upcoming specialist roles, including opportunities centred on the development of enterprise-wide policies and standards.
