We are looking for Patient Booking Service Operators.

About the Role

Patient Booking Service Operators are the first point of contact for patients and referrers, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and helping people navigate their medical imaging needs. The duties of a Patient Booking Service Operator include:

  • Answering telephone calls, responding to email referrals, and making bookings for medical imaging services in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Entering data accurately into our booking and other systems.
  • Interacting with patients, referrers and our staff in an empathic, respectful and helpful manner.
  • Liaising with different CIG sites and clinical specialists to ensure that bookings are accurately made.
  • Rescheduling appointments and confirming with patients the details of those changed arrangements.

Patient Booking Service Operators must have the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to build rapport with patients quickly and show a genuine concern and empathy for their wellbeing.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a positive team player.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Manage competing priorities.

Our Patient Booking Service Operators are based at our central booking office in Phillip, ACT and handle bookings for all our ACT and NSW sites.

Please note that while these positions are full-time, CIG will consider part-time work arrangements (i.e. working Monday to Thursday).
