About the Role:

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial, nimble growing company that promotes excellence and thinking outside of the box. You will work closely with the Head of Global Marketing and the Product Managers to set the direction and define the future of Toys to bring smiles to kids.

Strategy, Innovation & Brand Management

  • Be the commercial lead for key innovation projects ensuring projects from ideation, through to launch and post launch review, in partnership with the product design lead.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand & Marketing to build comprehensive, commercial brand strategies across the portfolio and provide strategic recommendations to deliver innovation and growth.
  • Champion consumer trends and insights across the marketing and sales functions including Circana and sell thru data. Provide analysis of emerging global trends, opportunity spaces and technologies which can help fuel the innovation funnel.
  • Understands retailer requirements and nuances, and works closely with sales team for feedback to provide direction for the product team.
  • Manage the licensor relationships including strategic pitches and contract management in partnership with product and financial stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial and brand leadership through P&L ownership and Stage Gate compliance.
  • Manage and track the marketing budget.

Go to Market

  • Collaborate with sales in the development of go to market plans.
  • Ownership of go-to-market presentations for brand portfolio, integrating key marketing tentpoles and stats from relevant franchises.
  • Support Sales presentation requirements where required and lead of any North America consolidation needs.
  • Create stand-out sizzles that clearly demonstrate the product USPs.
  • Project lead for US based retailer previews and events including the Bentonville Showroom.
  • Support project leads on all other events including Toy Fairs, Previews and Showrooms with vision, trade marketing assets, sample management, packaging mock-ups and props.
  • Order and fulfil Sales Samples requests in collaboration with Operations Team lead & Mock-Up Agencies.

Communications

  • Build and implement global brand plans and marketing calendars
  • Work closely with PR, digital and social media agencies to brief and develop best in class launch campaigns.
  • Report on campaign results in conjunction with sell thru performance and make recommendations to improve performance.
  • Create cut-through A+ brand and campaign assets for TV, digital, social, website, trade marketing including Product and Lifestyle images and upload onto Show Cloud for reps and distributors.
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends, insights and constantly challenge the digital space with test and learn.
  • Keep informed of all regulations re: marketing to children in key markets such as US, UK & Australia.
  • Support retailer requests for Image and Marketing Copy.
  • Update the corporate website for the brand portfolio.

About You:

  • Leadership and agility to champion and execute plans within a fast-moving organisation.
  • Proven end to end innovation experience, including project management, direction, packaging development and delivery.
  • Experience crafting category and brand stories and successfully selling those into internal management, retailers, licensors, and distributors.
  • Experience leading asset development, media, creative, PR and BTL agencies in the development of global and local marketing campaigns.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage upwards and downwards. In addition, an ability to forge strong and professional relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the business, and cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of US, ANZ and Global Retail landscape & planning cycles.
  • Proven ability to manage, track and maintain department budgets.
  • Commercial, excellent project management, self-sufficient and a problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and AI.
  • A positive team attitude.

Your Experience:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in an equivalent role.
  • Tertiary qualified in relevant field. E.G. Bachelor of Marketing/Media
  • Toy industry experience preferred or strong experience with marketing consumer products to Children
  • Valid working with Children's permit required
