is seeking a motivated individual to join our Dandenong South team in a
Processing Programmer Scheduler
role.
As a Processing Programmer Scheduler, you will be an essential part of a high-performing team at the core of our sales and production operations. This is a dynamic and fast-paced position where you will coordinate the flow of steel processing jobs from customer enquiry through to on-time delivery.
You'll work closely with our internal sales, operations, and processing teams to ensure every job is programmed accurately, scheduled efficiently, and ready for production all while keeping customer satisfaction front of mind.

position,
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (hours are flexible).
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build your expertise in steel processing coordination and technical sales support. You will play a key role in improving machine utilisation, reducing errors, and contributing to our processing revenue.
You'll be supported by the Steelforce leadership team with on-the-job training and ongoing mentoring, along with opportunities to grow your knowledge of ERP systems, scheduling, and steel production workflows
Your Key Duties Will Include
- Programming and coordinating daily processing jobs based on machine capability and customer requirements
- Communicating clearly with internal sales, production, and operations teams to ensure smooth job handover
- Reviewing and confirming job specifications to minimise delays and avoid rework
- Supporting quoting and lead time advice (without full estimating responsibility)
- Liaising directly with customers on complex or project-based orders
- Monitoring job performance and feeding back improvements to reduce processing errors
To Be Successful In This Role You'll Bring
- At least 2 years of experience in steel processing, production coordination, or technical sales support, Ideally with exposure to structural steel
- A strong understanding of structural steel workflows, including saw cutting, drilling and nesting
- The ability to interpret structural steel drawings and project specifications
- ERP or programming system experience (e.g. QE or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to working across teams
- Engineering Background or qualifications in steel fabrication, engineering, or supply chain will be highly regarded
