Your Position

As an Apprentice Service Technician Mechanical, you will be engaged and work with other businesses to gain relevant experience as a Service Technician.

Key Learning and Skills Development During Your Apprenticeship

  • Assisting in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of Vanderlande equipment.

  • Performing calibration and testing of the afore mentioned equipment.

  • Carrying out regular improvement and corrective maintenance tasks as per schedules and shift rosters.

  • Contributing to the enhancement of existing structures and techniques, under the guidance of your manager.

  • Completing TAFE coursework in a timely manner and to an acceptable standard.

  • Attending TAFE classes with a minimum attendance rate of 75%.

This role offers a comprehensive learning experience, providing you with the opportunity to develop and refine your technical skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess the Following

  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude.

  • Strong organizational skills and an active approach to learning.

  • Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • A stay-safe conscious mindset, adhering to Vanderlande workplace safety and occupational health and safety practices.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

  • A proactive attitude towards work and a positive demeanor.

  • An inquisitive nature and a willingness to learn.

  • Reliability and punctuality in all aspects of work.
