Position Summary:

As the Production Scheduler/Production planner you will be reporting to the National Operations Manager. Your previous experience as a scheduler will be required to show your ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling: Scheduling of daily production requirements to ensure a seamless and continuous production flow. Coordinate jobs to Workshop team. Activities including but not limited to creating job sheets, generating work tasks for team members.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop short term plans based on sales demand, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
  • Logistics Collaboration:Frequent communication with Logistics staff to ensure scheduling aligns with inbound materials and outbound shipping constraints and requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, production, and procurement teams to align production schedules with customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Communication: Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed daily and weekly build schedules. Provide regular updates to the Sales team on build timeframes, delivery forecasts, and progress updates
  • Resources: Monitor capacity in both the short and long term and adjust schedules based on changes to priorities or supply constraints.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support long term planning by modelling future demand scenarios and advising management of anticipated capacity gaps or bottlenecks. Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy and production flow.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in production scheduling, planning, or coordination (ideally within manufacturing or engineering).
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, production processes, and workflow dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with both shop floor and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & ERP systems).
  • Autonomous and a great work ethic
  • Analytical thinking and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
