About the role:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role oversees supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, ensures compliance with company policies, and drives continuous improvement in procurement processes to support operational efficiency and cost savings. Role open to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth candidates. Fixed term contract for 12 months, with potential to become a permanent position.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.

Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to ensure optimal value.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or service. Operational Excellence
• Oversee the procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment, while implementing process efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
• Transition the business in accordance with our sustainability requirements.

Budget & Cost Control

• Collaborate with finance and operations to forecast procurement needs and manage budgets.
• Analyze spending data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Train and develop branch purchasing teams across the nation network
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
