Chef List of Duties & Responsibilities for The Marina Cafe, Church Point.
- Prepares foods to the specifications of the customer as trained and advised by Head Chef - making adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
- Manages other employees in the kitchen (Kitchen Hand)
- Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
- Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, slicer or stand mixer
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
- Cleans up after business hours
- Communicates with Head Chef about how to improve meal service
- Ensuring all their duties are being carried out to the fullest of their potential
- Engaging in cooking and food preparation in the Café.
- Ensuring the freshness of food items as well as food quality.
- Ensuring all food-handling regulations are complied with by the staff and that safetyand sanitary requirements are met.
- Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
- Checking quality of stock for freshness, weight, use by dates, etc. and communication of issues to Head Chef.
- Communicating with the Head Chef on a regular basis regarding all stock levels.
- Responsible for being aware of stock levels of fresh produce and other food items.
- Ensuring the required stock levels are maintained
Salary: 76,515-$80,000
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
