  • Clean food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
  • Prepare foods to the specifications of the customer as trained and advised by Head Chef - making adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
  • Manage other employees in the kitchen (Kitchen Hand)
  • Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
  • Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, slicer or stand mixer
  • Portion, arrange, and garnishes food based on client preference
  • Assist other cooks during the food assembly process
  • Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
  • Clean up after business hours
  • Communicate with Chef about how to improve meal service
  • Ensure all their duties are being carried out to the fullest of their potential
  • Engage in cooking and food preparation in the Café.
  • Ensure the freshness of food items as well as food quality.
  • Ensure all food-handling regulations are complied with by the staff and that safety and sanitary requirements are met.
  • Check quality of stock for freshness, weight, use by dates, etc. and communication of issues to Chef.
  • Communicating with the Chef on a regular basis regarding all stock levels.
  • Responsible for being aware of stock levels of fresh produce and other food items.
  • Ensuring the required stock levels are maintained.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
