Southern Christian College is an independent Christian K-12 co-educational school in Kingston, Tasmania. We offer an authentic Christian education from Early Learning to Year 12. About You

Specific Responsibilities:

The role of the IT Support Officer has primary responsibility for managing the College's day to day delivery of services and systems, and to deliver solutions that support the College's strategic objectives.

  • A sound understanding of Mac and PC hardware, macOS and Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A working understanding of server roles, such as AD/DHCP/DNS, and Microsoft 365 platforms such as Entra ID, Autopilot, etc.
  • A working understanding of the networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls and WiFi.
  • An intermediate understanding of operating systems, applications and networks, including the ability to troubleshoot system, network and application related problems to identify a cause.
  • Familiarity with educational learning management systems would be an advantage.
  • A strong customer service focus, with well-developed communication skills demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with people of varying technical competencies.
