Supporting Me is a trusted organisation helping people live independently in their own homes and participate actively in their community.


About the Role

Seeking a Support Worker to assist a quadriplegic male living in Young, NSW with personal care and domestic support. The ideal candidate will be reliable, approachable, and able to fit into a relaxed and friendly family environment.

No experience required.

Reliability is essential, and in return, we offer above-award pay rates.


Work Schedule

  • Fridays: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM (including public holidays)

  • Every 3rd Weekend:

  • Saturday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Sunday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Sunday 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Additional shifts may be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisted transfers using a ceiling hoist (wheelchair/bed/shower chair)
  • Personal care: toileting, showering, dressing, and hygiene
  • Exercise and physical therapy support
  • Domestic duties: laundry, meal preparation, cleaning, mopping
  • Grocery shopping
  • Driving to appointments

Skills & Requirements

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of online COVID-19 training modules (provided)
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable car
  • Willingness to follow PPE protocols (gloves & gown) in the event of COVID-19 risk
