Gypsy Espresso is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. We are a specialty café and kitchen located in Potts Point, committed to high-quality food, coffee, and service.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in line with our menu standards
• Ensuring consistency, presentation, and taste across all meals
• Managing food preparation and kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment
• Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
• Upholding food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
The successful candidate will have:
• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery (Certificate IV or equivalent)
• At least 2 years' experience working as a Chef in a busy café or restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen management
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills
