At TGE, we're building the future of work by investing in people, systems, and purpose-driven technology. We're looking for a talented Business Analyst – Payroll and People Systems to join our People Technology team. This is a pivotal role supporting both business-as-usual (BAU) payroll operations and strategic systems transformation projects.
You'll work closely with the Payroll team, HR systems, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless system performance, data integrity, and compliance all while helping shape the future of our payroll and people systems.
What You'll Do
A. Payroll Systems – BAU Support

Provide first-line functional support for payroll-related system queries and enhancements.
Assist with data maintenance and system integrity in collaboration with Payroll and People teams.
B. Implementation & Project Support
Analyse existing system configurations across payroll modules e.g. leave, pay components, STP2, and position management to ensure alignment with current legislation and business needs.
Extract, reconcile, and cleanse legacy data from Preceda for migration into aPay; audit and validate embedded data.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, testing cycles, and system upgrades.
About You
You're a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Business Analyst who thrives on solving complex problems and improving processes. You have:
Proven experience working with payroll systems (e.g. Preceda, aPay, Workday) in an analytical or support capacity.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, award interpretation, and data integrity principles.
A methodical approach to system configuration, testing, and documentation.
Experience supporting HR or payroll transformation projects (preferred).
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
