Synchro Partners is partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a major transformation and is looking for an experienced Payroll Business Analyst to join their ERP project.

The role revolves around working across payroll, HR, and finance functions, contributing to the design and delivery of a modern system solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translating them into clear system requirements.
  • Map current payroll processes and define future workflows to support system improvements.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements that guide system design and configuration.
  • Create and validate payroll scenarios covering the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, leave, superannuation, taxation, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
  • Support testing activities, including developing UAT scripts and validating system functionality.
  • Partner with technical teams and vendors to ensure requirements are implemented accurately.
  • Participate in workshops, configuration reviews, and data migration planning.
  • Contribute to payroll interfaces and integration points with HR, finance, and time management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and system efficiency.
  • Assist with stakeholder communication, training materials, and user support to enable smooth adoption of the new system.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in payroll or HRIS system projects.
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, taxation, superannuation, and enterprise agreements.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Ascender, Chris21, Oracle HCM, or Workday.
  • Experience supporting testing and validating payroll systems.
