This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of the Chief Risk Officer, which is leading a major security reform across the Tasmanian Health Service. These roles will be embedded across regions, supporting newly formed teams that are driving transformation in safety and security for staff, patients, and visitors.

The Role:

We are recruiting five Administrative Officers to join the newly established Office of the Chief Risk Officer (OCRO). These roles will provide high-level administrative, business, and project support across the Safety, Security and Quality Unit (SSQU) and its regional teams.

As an Administrative Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the OCRO by delivering a full range of confidential administrative, project, and research support services. You will work closely with senior managers, regional directors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient operations, accurate records management, and timely coordination of information and correspondence.

Key duties include:

  • Providing high-level administrative support, including scheduling, minute-taking, diary management, and travel and meeting coordination.
  • Preparing correspondence, briefings, and management information as required.
  • Maintaining office systems, filing and statistical databases, and producing reports.
  • Coordinating incoming and outgoing files, papers, and correspondence.
  • Assisting with project tasks and business processes to support the work of the OCRO.
  • Processing accounts and invoices, and undertaking cost coding functions.
  • Liaising confidentially with executives, government, and non-government stakeholders.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance withPublic Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
