PROJECT MANAGER – LONG-TERM CONTRACT

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery and maintenance of council-owned Hot and Olympic-size swimming pools in regional New South Wales.

About the Role:

This is a long-term contract position overseeing the construction, refurbishment, and ongoing maintenance of aquatic facilities. You will manage end-to-end project delivery, from planning and procurement to stakeholder engagement and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Location - 7 Hrs from Sydney / 6 hrs from Newcastle / 6 hrs from Brisbane & the Gold Coast QLD

Accomodation - Provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage council pool construction and maintenance projects from inception to handover.
  • Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and council regulations.
  • Maintain strong communication with council representatives, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building or refurbishing public swimming pools
  • Strong project management and contractor coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of aquatic facility infrastructure, filtration, and heating systems.
  • Ability to work in regional NSW for the duration of the contract.
  • Previous regional work experience required
