Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SMSF Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and administering self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their SMSFs are effectively managed and meet all legal and financial obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Administration:
Manage the day-to-day administration of SMSFs, including processing contributions, rollovers, TBAR and benefit payments. - Compliance:
Ensure all SMSFs comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the preparation and lodgement of annual returns and financial statements. - Client Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for SMSF clients, providing them with timely and accurate information and advice. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all SMSFs, including member balances, investment transactions, and compliance documentation. - Audit Coordination:
Coordinate the annual audit process for SMSFs, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all required documentation is provided. - Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports to clients on the performance and compliance status of their SMSFs. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with changes in SMSF legislation and best practices, and implement improvements to administration processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential. - Experience:
Previous experience in SMSF administration or a similar role is highly desirable. - Knowledge:
Strong understanding of SMSF regulations and compliance requirements. - Skills:
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders. - Technical Proficiency:
Experience using Class Software essential (or at least preferred).

Hours:
Part time Flexible arrangements - 30 hours per week. A related role doing SMSF audits could build the role to be Full Time.
