Lead SMSF Professional

A leading firm in Brisbane's CBD is seeking an experienced Lead SMSF Professional, or a skilled Senior Accountant looking for a promotion to join their expanding team.

You will be working closely with the SMSF and Investments team, as well as the Business Services and Tax teams to manage their SMSF clients.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of annual SMSF financial statements and Tax Returns.
  • Managing BAS, IAS, and PAYG work.
  • Producing a consistent high standard of work that meets all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Assisting the Manager with workflow for the SMSF team, including billings, WIP, and productivity.
  • Meeting and liaising directly with clients via Zoom or face-to-face where appropriate.
  • Mentoring and growing team members.
  • Liaising with the auditor and ATO regarding fund audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • CA or CPA Qualified.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar role with an Australian accounting firm or SMSF administration firm.
  • Use of Class Super software.
  • High-level written and verbal communication.
