A vital role within our Private Business Family Advisory division, the Senior SMSF Accountant position is a key part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an individual with strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across the wider team to maintain these connections.
  • This senior accountant will provide consultative advice and support to internal and external stakeholders on a range of SMSF matters.
  • The ideal candidate will assist and support offshore teams with the preparation of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements.
  • The successful applicant will review financial reports and assist with queries on client work, providing expert analysis and advice.
  • Data entry and processing within BGL360 will be a critical component of this role.
  • The Senior SMSF Accountant will prepare and administer SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Liaising with external auditors and other bodies such as the ATO and ASIC will also be a key responsibility.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills will be essential in meeting deadlines and managing workload.
  • Supporting the administration team with SMSF related documentation will also be a key aspect of this role.
  • The Senior SMSF Accountant will provide support to the wider team with Superannuation queries and escalate any SIS compliance issues to assigned Manager/Client Director/Partner.

We require 3-4 years' experience within business services for SMSF clients, high-level written and spoken communication skills, problem-solving abilities, confidence in interfacing with clients, and the ability to interpret financial data and respond to queries.
