About us

MRM Lawyers are an established Hunter law firm. The firm's civil commercial litigation practice is expanding with exposure to the New South Wales Supreme, District and Local Courts and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

The role offers an opportunity for involvement with litigated cases assisting our Solicitors, exposure to experts and Barristers and provides a unique opportunity to expand their professional experience and develop new skills as part of a strong and robust group.

Qualifications & experience

  • Studying or completion of a Bachelor of Laws (Clerk/Graduate)
  • Ability to manage litigation Solicitors and work process (Assistant)
  • Experience with litigation a plus
  • Ability to assist and perform administrative support and logistical work

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assisting with the day to day carriage of Commercial and Litigation matters including with the preparation of contracts, leases, pleadings, affidavits, notices and general correspondence.
  • Assisting with the day to day carriage of industrial deafness matters including the preparation of correspondence, applications, forms, statements and pleadings.
  • Assisting in litigated matters including briefing Counsel, attending interlocutory hearings, assisting with litigated hearings, letters of instructions and conferences with expert witnesses.
  • Day to day file management including data and document collation, maintenance and closure.
