What are we looking for?

An opportunity for a Law Clerk is now available in Newcastle, which with have you working with our well-established team, specialising in Coal. Our clients can be entitled to a range of benefits and compensation under the Workers Compensation Scheme. Our Coal team understands that suffering a workplace injury, can present major hurdles to overcome. They support our clients every step of the way with care, understanding, flexibility and support.

You will work within a team that specialises in Personal Injury Law, predominately a practice of Workers Compensation files. In this role you will assist lawyers in managing files. You will ensure the efficient day to day operation of the files including preparation of matters for assessment and trial. You will be the first point of call for clients within the practice area. You will use your analytical skills, customer service and superior communication skills.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Under Supervision of the experienced practitioner, work with clients on matters relevant to their legal claim
- Assist in achieving positive resolution of client matters.
- Develop and manage positive relationship with clients
- Work collaboratively with the legal support team

What will you bring?

- Experience in legal administration
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in n a team environment
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk preferred but not essential
