Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Accountant based in our Leederville office.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible
for ensuring FHL's accounting and financial activities are appropriately and effectively managed to meet internal and external stakeholder needs. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to provide financial, strategic and operational support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA/CA qualification
• Expertise in the knowledge and application of accounting standards.
• Proven understanding of taxation legislation, specifically Income Tax Exempt Charities, GST, & FBT.
• Demonstrated experience in the financial and accounting functions of medium to large sized entities.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the community housing or non-profit sector is advantageous
