**Building and Facilities Coordinator**

**Full-Time**

**$86,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation guarantee**

WALGA (WA Local Government Association) have an exciting opportunity for a process driven, approachable and collaborative individual to take on the important role of Building and Facilities Coordinator.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high degree of organisation, time management and prioritisation, can work autonomously when needed but also enjoys being part of a team and a wider community. They will exhibit problem solving skills with the ability to forward think, deliver a positive and diplomatic approach to all situations and possess highly developed written and oral communication skills.

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining WALGA’s office and facilities, vehicle fleet, and insurance policies. Additionally, it provides support and information for the Local Government House Trust as well as WHS compliance. You will also be providing high level customer service to internal and external stakeholders and the general public.

**In this role you will**:

- Be accountable for the continuous safe and cost effective operation of WALGA including parking bays, office furniture and equipment, kitchen and office consumables and meeting rooms
- Provide daily reception cover for breaks and during periods of leave
- Be responsible for the provision and maintenance of a vehicle fleet
- Ensure provision of general maintenance and cleaning of the office and surrounds
- Be responsible for the effectiveness of insurance policies and processing/resolving all insurance claims
- Oversee office fit out and facility upgrades
- Be the chief fire warden for the building, organising routine safety drills and liaising with building fire wardens.
- Possess excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with senior leaders, managers and external stakeholders
