Job Title: Administration Assistant / Receptionist (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Mayfield, Newcastle
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract (Maternity Leave Cover – approx. 6-7 months
Hours: Flexible 20-30 Hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Administration Assistant/Receptionist to provide maternity leave cover within our DRB team. This role is the first point of contact for clients and visitors, as well as an essential support function for our team's day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and callers in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain reception area and meeting rooms to a professional standard
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and document preparation
- Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating office activities
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Support the wider team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an administration or receptionist role (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
- A proactive and professional approach
