We are recruiting quality Carpenters to fill a role as Leading Hand in our growing deck and external stair construction company.

BDS aim to provide a high quality service to our clients that stands above the rest and the works we carry out range from repairs, to rebuilds, to brand new constructions, so you will have a diverse range of works to ply your trade to.

This role is suitable for someone who has worked within the residential construction industry, ideally coming from a deck & stair building background who can work autonomously or within a team of 2 - 4 people.

Deck and stair construction experience is preferred but not essential for this position.

This opportunity requires someone who has excellent attention to detail, initiative and is driven by delivering quality work. You will work with a respectable team in the field and be provided with strong support from our office team who are also qualified carpenters that have a complete understanding of the job.

It is an ideal position for someone who can demonstrate their skills to work on the tools, overcome typical challenges that arise during builds as well as manage a team on site.

You will need...

  • Certificate 3 in Carpentry
  • Experience on site as a qualified carpenter and leading a team on site.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of qualified carpentry experience required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of team leadership experience required.
  • Meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Vehicle & tools of the trade
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Read and interpret plans.
  • White Card
