Are you an early riser? This role is for you Your day will start at 6am and finish at 2pm, however we are prepared to tailor this role to suit the right candidate.

Fresh State is a membership organisation representing the interests of Melbourne wholesalers and associated service industries at the Melbourne wholesale market in Epping. Fresh State provides a range of services that benefit not only its members but the entire fresh produce industry.

A fantastic opportunity currently exists for an Administration Officer to join our Credit Service team. This is not your typical Administration role, it provides a lot of variety where no two days will be the same You will be expected to undertake all elements of administration and customer support and have a flair to talk to people and assist in the selling some of our other member services.

You will need to have a flexible approach to your day. We are looking for a team player, someone with lots of energy and enthusiasm with a down to earth, hands on attitude and a willingness to learn all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the phones and greet guests in reception
  • Interacting with our members
  • Provide support, backup and undertake training in business unit services
  • Follow up buyers/sellers by email and telephone for short payments and non-payment.
  • Receipt matching of payments received
  • Setting up new buyer/seller accounts, amendments and reviews for existing accounts.
  • General admin assistance tasks, including preparation of notices to management for distribution, running reports and statements
  • Assist with daily price reporting by interacting with wholesalers.
  • General research and data entry
  • Miscellaneous administration duties and support of the Fresh State team

To be successful you will possess:

  • A willingness to learn, adapt and show initiative
  • Previous office experience ideally in a finance role
  • Use of Outlook, Word Processing and excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Display high attention to detail
  • Understanding of fresh produce industry is desirable

The role is based at the Melbourne Markets in Epping, Victoria, so a driver's license and car is a MUST. It is a truly unique work environment and a great opportunity to progress your career.
