As part of the global Advanta Seeds group, Pacific Seeds is one of the largest operating units globally, renowned for innovation, quality, and deep collaboration with growers. Their work improves farmer productivity through the development of sustainable, high-performing hybrid seed products.

The Role Pacific Seeds is looking for a Quality Manager who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy, and people. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll oversee the Quality Assurance function, shape operational processes, and make the final call on stock release. You'll also work closely with R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service, making sure the right information flows at the right time, every time.

Here's where you'll make your mark:

  • Lead a high-performing Quality team.
  • Oversee QA processes and seed technology research to ensure efficiency, compliance, and timely product release.
  • Safeguard seed quality and integrity through audits, genetic purity testing, and GM/non-GM assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement and align local systems with their global quality framework.

This isn't a desk-bound role. You'll travel regularly across Australia to inspect production sites, with occasional opportunities to connect internationally with global partners and programs.

About You You're ready to take the reins of a critical function and make a tangible difference.

You'll bring:

  • Hands-on experience in production agriculture, ideally within the seed sector, with strong knowledge of seed quality and analysis.
  • A solid understanding of plant science and its application in QC testing programs.
  • Proven leadership: someone who can inspire a team, make tough calls, and deliver operational excellence
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Confidence and ease working with everyone from field staff to executives.
  • Experience with GM and non-GM crops, hybrid seed programs, and quality protocols is highly desirable.
