General Manager – Thompson Longhorn

Thompson Longhorn is a leading provider of innovative livestock handling systems, with a proud history of delivering high-quality design, manufacturing, and installation solutions across Australia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our team and drive the next chapter of growth, operational excellence, and people development.

The Role

As General Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all functions of the business, including:

  • Sales – leading growth strategies, customer relationships, and business development.
  • Design & Engineering – ensuring innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Production & Workshop – maintaining efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Site Installation & Delivery – ensuring safe, timely, and professional execution.

A core focus of this role is building, developing, and empowering high-performing teams. You'll foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring every department works together toward shared goals.

About You

We are seeking a leader who can come from either a production/workshop background or a sales/business development background in the agricultural industry. Regardless of your specialty, you must demonstrate the capability and drive to manage the other areas of the business effectively.

You will bring:
