About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administration & Accounts Officer with strong skills in Xero accounting software to join our NDIS team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth business operations, accurate financial management, and compliance with NDIS requirements.
You will be responsible for accounts, invoicing, payroll, and administrative support, ensuring that our organisation runs efficiently and that staff and participants are supported.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable using Xero.
- Prepare, process, and reconcile NDIS invoicing accurately and on time.
- Manage payroll, staff pay, and reimbursements.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring financial records are up to date.
- Prepare financial reports for management as required.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS financial and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with participants, families, and staff regarding accounts and payments.
- Provide general administrative support to management and the wider team.
- Assist with audits and funding body requirements when needed.
Communication & Support
- Respond promptly and professionally to email and phone enquiries.
- Support staff with rostering or admin queries where needed.
- Work collaboratively with management to identify and resolve process improvements.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience using Xero for accounts, invoicing, and payroll (essential).
- Prior experience in NDIS or community services sector (highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliation.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
