The opportunity:
The Key Account Manager role is a hybrid position that involves managing a designated large territory with in-store visits and support, as well as handling a portfolio of key accounts and groups. The focus is on developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to drive sales and profit.
What you will do:
- Achieve monthly sales targets and budgets within the defined territory.
- Meet monthly sales targets and budgets for allocated key accounts and groups.
- Manage trade spending within the agreed budget guidelines approved by the National Business Manager.
- Monitor, track, and improve the range and distribution of Pharmacy Choice, Faulding, and Allersearch products throughout the defined territory and accounts.
- Ensure all group promotional plans are approved by the National Pharmacy Manager and submitted within customer timeframes.
- Conduct quarterly business performance reviews with customers, involving the appropriate direct and senior engagement.
- Measure sales effectiveness for key promotional activities before and after events.
- Manage pricing and promotional loading within group responsibilities.
- Execute in-store excellence with distribution, share of shelf, new product development (NPD) speed to market, and off-location space.
- Leverage and audit compliance as per Trading Term Agreements, proactively and independently addressing any issues.
- Track and measure SKU distribution performance against agreed targets for groups and territory.
- Launch NPD with excellence as per 'go-to-market' launch requirements, either inside or outside of range reviews.
- Positively represent brands at range reviews, achieving budgeted and targeted SKU listings.
- Pursue or retain Pharmacy Choice OTC agreements within group responsibility.
- Build, develop, and maintain long-term and effective business relationships with all customers within the designated region.
- Develop and maintain positive internal relationships.
- Complete and present end-of-month sales reports by customer to the National Business Manager.
- Complete sales forecasts and trade spending reports each month with the National Business Manager.
- Keep CRM management (Otto) updated with customer profile matrix, competitor activity, compliance, and engagement.
- Complete quarterly Pharmacy Choice/Faulding rebate reviews within deadlines.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in the pharmacy, grocery, or specialty retailer FMCG sector.
- Qualifications in a relevant health or business field are highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong relationship development and influencing skills.
- High level of self-motivation and results orientation.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
