About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term basis. The role will be reviewed at the end of the fixed term, with the potential for a permanent position depending on business needs and the suitability of the successful candidate.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape how MPAQ connects with members, industry partners, and the broader community. You'll play a key part in delivering accurate, creative, and impactful marketing and communications that support both our strategic goals and our reputation as an industry leader.
Your role will be varied, hands-on, and collaborative—perfect for someone who enjoys working across digital, print, and events to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the MPAQ marketing calendar aligned with business objectives.
- Create, edit, and design communications for newsletters, website, magazine, campaigns, social media, and presentations.
- Manage artwork, deadlines, and quality control for all marketing material.
- Maintain accurate member segmentation and CRM data to deliver relevant and targeted communications.
- Drive member engagement and network growth through social media platforms and digital content (including video content).
- Identify and develop opportunities for revenue growth through advertising and partnerships.
- Update and maintain website content in collaboration with internal teams.
- Contribute to the production of the Master Plumber Magazine.
- Provide marketing support at events, including social media, photography, and onsite assistance.
About You
We're looking for someone who is creative, organised, and motivated, with a strong interest in marketing and communications. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the variety of tasks that come with working in a small, agile team.
You'll also bring:
- At least 2 years' experience in a marketing or communications role (qualifications are highly regarded but not essential).
- Advanced writing and editing skills with a flair for creating engaging content.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- An eye for design and commitment to brand consistency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ideally some knowledge of design software (Canva, Adobe InDesign, etc.).
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a high level of accountability.
- Bonus skills: photography, videography, or digital content creation.
HOW TO APPLY
If you're passionate about delivering high-quality marketing and communications and want to join a team that values initiative, collaboration, and creativity, we'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your application via Seek, including a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and your resume.
We truly appreciate the time applicants take to apply; however, due to expected high volumes, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you haven't heard from us within three weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful on this occasion.
Please note: MPAQ does not utilise recruitment agents except by invitation.
