Role Summary
We are seeking an organised, personable Service Manager with an electrical trade background to be the primary point of contact for service customers and to coordinate day‑to‑day field operations. This is an in‑office, full‑time role reporting to the Operations Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for service customers by phone, email and in person; manage enquiries and service requests.
- Receive, triage and schedule service jobs; allocate technicians based on skills, availability and proximity.
- Draft quotes and invoices for approval by the Operations Manager.
- Maintain accurate job records, service history and customer communications in company systems.
- Coordinate materials, spare parts and equipment for jobs; place/track orders and manage stock levels for service work.
- Ensure technicians are inducted, compliant with site-specific requirements, and have the correct permits/qualifications.
- Communicate job status updates to customers and internal teams; escalate urgent issues as needed.
- Support continuous improvement of scheduling, reporting and customer service processes.
- Assist with admin tasks (timesheets, purchase requests, job closeouts).
Required Qualifications & Attributes
- Electrical trade background (qualified electrician or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in a service coordination, dispatch, or admin role preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills — professional, approachable and likeable.
- Good organisational, time‑management and multitasking abilities.
- Basic competency with quoting and invoicing.
- Experience with job‑management platforms (e.g., AroFlo) or similar is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and good record‑keeping.
- Valid driver's licence.
Desirable
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with health & safety/site induction processes.
