About the Role

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented
Management Accountant
to manage the
full-cycle accounting
for a portfolio of
shopping centres
based in Melbourne.

This is a
client-facing role
where you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and landlord clients to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting that supports strategic business decisions. You'll play a critical role in both
commercial analysis
and ensuring ongoing
compliance
across each centre in your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end accounting for a portfolio of shopping centres, including monthly and annual reporting.
  • Partner with Centre Management teams to monitor financial performance and support operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial insights and variance analysis to support decision-making and planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, GST, audit preparation, etc.).
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Continuously review and enhance accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

About You

  • CA qualified
    or CPA (essential).
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a
    management accounting
    or
    property accounting
    role, ideally within commercial or retail real estate.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Confident communicator, capable of presenting financial insights to executives and clients.
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
