Job Summary:
TIC is seeking a Project Engineer – Low Voltage Motors with a strong emphasis on Project Management to lead and coordinate all phases of Low Voltage Motor indent projects. This role is pivotal in managing the project lifecycle, from planning through execution and close-out, ensuring technical compliance, timeline adherence, and successful customer outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project schedules, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, and ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Key duties include managing project documentation, driving effective communication, facilitating risk management, and supporting both pre- and post-sales technical project support.

This position also involves maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring all activities align with TIC's safety, quality, and corporate governance policies.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, Trade Certificate, or equivalent industry experience, combined with proven project management expertise, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Engineering:

  • Manage the technical aspects of Low Voltage Motor Projects, ensuring that solutions are commercially and technically viable for customers.
  • Interpret project engineering specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements, including troubleshooting and addressing concerns.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with Toshiba standards.

Project Administration:

  • Administer project management processes to ensure successful and profitable project execution.
  • Develop project schedules, manage dependencies, and create progress reports.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, customers, suppliers, and distribution partners, ensuring accurate and positive interactions.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Assist the Low Voltage Motor Product Manager in day-to-day business operations and project support.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Collaborate with the OH&S Coordinator to ensure electrical safety compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including QA, OH&S, and Export Control regulations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and solutions.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective alternatives to resolve engineering challenges.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting both the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Low Voltage Motors product group and TIC.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid foundation in engineering principles, with a bachelor's degree, a Trade Certificate, or equivalent project experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and tasks with precision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of identifying issues, evaluating alternatives, and providing practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, fostering a positive team environment while also being capable of working independently.
  • A strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment, complying with OHS regulations, and participating actively in safety programs.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Management principles, ensuring high standards are met in all aspects of work.
  • Familiarity with export control programs and the ability to ensure compliance with both internal and government regulations.
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering principles and the ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
