About the opportunity
Reporting to the MJH NSW ACT Chief Operations Officer and working closely with our senior leadership team and cross functional stakeholders, you will develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives to drive optimal performance and continuous improvement for our greater Sydney operations. More specifically, you will:
- Strategise improvements and a longer-term vision for operations, including drafting / production estimating/project delivery people and processes
- Drive continuous improvement across operations teams, setting clear KPIs and collaborating closely with frontline leaders and their teams
- Benchmark service standards and contribute to the delivery of high impact customer experiences
- Design, implement and optimise team structures to ensure resources are deployed in the most efficient and effective manner
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that can contribute to the company's growth and expansion
- Oversee budget planning and management, ensuring that operations are executed within budget while maximising revenue and cost-efficiency
- Inspire, coordinate, and drive the performance of the team, and elevate performance through mentoring, inspiring and coaching
- Provide regular management reports to senior leadership and support the COO with key project and initiatives
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
- 10 years + relevant management and operational experience coupled with tertiary level qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the residential construction (broad exposure across sales/drafting/estimating/construction)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and operational execution abilities
- Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
- Embrace diversity and create inclusive teams
- Hold yourself and others accountable
- Approach all processes with a continuous improvement mindset
