Head of Architecture Services

Your New Role 

Reporting to the Chief Platform Officer, the Head of Architecture Services is a senior leader responsible for enabling the Funds ambition to use technology as a differentiator for the future.

The Head of Architecture Services will work across the Fund, including Member and Investment domains and is responsible for ensuring that the design and implementation of platforms is successful. A strong understanding of risk, compliance and information security are essential.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

• Support the implementation of platforms across the Fund.
• Build a world-class consulting architecture practice that transitions to new ways of working.
• Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Vision to support the Funds global strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain integrated technology and business architecture strategies aligned with the Fund's vision and business goals.
• Define and document business capabilities, value streams, and organisational structures to enable strategic planning and transformation.
• Facilitate the identification and mapping of business requirements to technology solutions, ensuring traceability and measurable outcomes.
• Guide the architecture team in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing IT and data solutions that support defined business architectures.
• Lead architectural reviews, ensuring business priorities and regulatory requirements are embedded in all technical decisions.
• Engage with business stakeholders, operations, and external partners to ensure architectural alignment and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify new business and technology trends, opportunities, and threats, ensuring the Fund adapts quickly and securely.

What You'll Need   

The candidate is expected to have demonstrated experience in aligning technology solutions with business objectives and driving process improvements. Additionally, the role requires a proven track record of delivering transformation, digital innovation, and process optimization initiatives.

• Understanding of delivering superior member experience and the role technology and data can provide in elevating digital channels.
• Experience working in a global pension Fund or asset manager and the use of technology and data in enabling investment decisions.
• Extensive background in both business and technology architecture within complex enterprise settings or leading a technology function where there is strong demonstrated architecture discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in aligning technology solutions with business objectives and process improvement.
• Strong record of delivering transformation, digital innovation, and process optimisation initiatives
