About the Role

As the Head of Engineering & Architecture, you'll set the direction for engineering practices, technical design and architectural standards across multiple product streams. You'll balance visionary leadership with pragmatic delivery, guiding a team of senior engineers and architects through modernisation and scalability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the engineering and architecture roadmap across several value streams.
  • Lead and mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering a high-performing and empowered culture.
  • Ensure alignment between technical design, business strategy and platform scalability.
  • Promote best-practice software engineering, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with product, delivery, and business stakeholders to ensure high-impact outcomes.
  • Introduce governance and frameworks that balance innovation, performance, and reliability.

  • Strong background across modern application architecture — ideally in Microsoft-based environments using scalable web and cloud technologies.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles (SOLID, TDD/BDD, microservices, event-driven systems).
  • Expertise across cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across business and technology domains.
