About the role:
Box Hill Institute is seeking a dynamic and experienced Course Coordinator - Nursing to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality vocational education and training programs. This is a pivotal leadership role within our Faculty of Health, Community & Life Sciences, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student outcomes, team performance, and industry engagement.
As Course Coordinator, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of nursing educators and support staff.
- Oversee the development of innovative, compliant, and engaging nursing programs.
- Drive continuous improvement in teaching quality and student satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
- Support strategic growth through new course offerings and delivery models.
- Teach 0.2 FTE in relevant nursing courses, including mentoring new educators.
Salary for this position is EM1 $125,131 plus 12% superannuation.
This is a full time, ongoing position, based at our Elgar (Box Hill) campus. We also welcome applications from candidates seeking part time arrangements. On occasion, travel to our Lilydale and/or City Campus may be required.
About you:
You are passionate about the nursing profession and have deep experience in the TAFE or education sector. In this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership expertise within the education sector
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
- AQF Level 6+ qualification in adult or vocational education, or equivalent
- A Bachelor of Nursing (minimum) and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver teaching programs within the TAFE or education sector that complies with relevant quality standards
- A strong understanding of, and sensitivity to, diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
- A valid Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance
