EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Teacher - ACFE Pre-Accredited Trainer

About the role:

Box Hill Institute are seeking an experienced Trainer to join our Pre-Accredited Teaching team. You will be employed as a casual Pre-Accredited Teacher within the Adult, Community & Further Education team.

Our pre-accredited training programs are short introductory courses that offer a supportive first step back into training or work for adults who want to develop their skills and confidence before entering a formal work or study pathway. They focus on creating pathways to accredited training or employment and cover everything from basic IT skills to specific preparation courses.

What you'll do:

  • Implement teaching strategies to engage students in pre-accredited training programs that improve adult literacy and numeracy, employability and vocational skills to support pathways into further education, training and employment

  • Ensure a successful student experience and deliver overall student and industry satisfaction

  • Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met, and quality education is delivered to students

About you:

  • Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

Qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education (Desirable)
  • Relevant industry qualifications and an AQF 5 or higher vocational qualification
  • Experienced disability support professional with a strong background in training and facilitating group sessions for individuals with special needs
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering planned sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways
  • Experience in the preparation of programs and learning materials using different formats and materials
