Assistant Accountant/Payroll Officer (Full Time) *Cover Letter Required

Seeking an Assistant Accountant/Payroll Officer to join our team. An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate. On-Site parking Provided.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Complete the timely and accurate calculation of weekly payroll including managing timesheets, leave applications, overtime payments, variations and exceptions, and deductions.
  • Perform payroll administration tasks and maintain employee records, such as setting up new starters and processing terminations, managing pay increases, and back-pays.
  • Assist in Month-end process and reporting including preparing and posting journals
  • Produce and lodge monthly BAS;
  • Provide support for accounts payable, including other relevant payments monthly.
  • Handle general administrative tasks related to finance and accounting
  • Other reasonable duties that may be required as directed by their supervisor.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or have related accounting experiences for more than 2 years.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly strong knowledge of Excel).
  • Proficient or experiences in ADP payroll system is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
