Accounts Receivable Officer

Location: Rydalmere

We are seeking an experienced
Accounts Receivable Officer
to join a well-established organisation with a strong footprint across Australia and New Zealand, this business supports both residential and commercial customers through a network of trusted subsidiary brands.

About the Role

The Accounts Receivable Officer will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient credit control, maintaining healthy cash flow, and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external customers. This position is responsible for managing the debtors' ledger, resolving account queries, negotiating payment terms, and escalating overdue accounts where required.

This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while driving continuous improvement in accounts receivable processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and proactively address payment delays.
  • Manage overdue accounts, including collections processes via phone and email.
  • Reconcile complex accounts and prepare end-of-month arrears reports.
  • Undertake bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy for month-end reporting.
  • Negotiate payment settlements and resolve billing disputes.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, MYOB or other large ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with best practices in credit management.
