Western Dermatology is a well-established and busy dermatology practice offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic services. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team in a casual capacity.

This role is ideally suited to someone who is available Monday to Thursday afternoons (12 pm - 7 pm), with the flexibility to provide occasional cover during staff leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients in a warm, professional, and courteous manner
  • Managing incoming phone calls and responding to general enquiries
  • Scheduling appointments, processing patient billing and receipting, including Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover claims
  • Providing administrative support to doctors, including scanning, faxing, photocopying, and managing follow-ups
  • Light cleaning and restocking of consulting rooms
  • Administering ultraviolet (UV) treatments (training provided; this is a simple procedure guided by established protocols)
  • Opening and closing the clinic if needed (training provided)

Additional Requirement

  • Only candidates with previous experience in a medical receptionist role will be considered. Please only apply if you have relevant experience in a medical practice setting.
